Andre Guarda and Felipe Flora (Moskardi) didn’t grow up together or meet at a rave. Both from small cities in Brazil, their music found its way on to local label Movida Records while they were still in high school. They remained unknown to each other until moving to Sao Paolo for college, where they were connected by a shared passion for music, and a touch of fate. Dashdot was launched in February 2012 at none other than D‐Edge club, one of Brazil’s best venues for underground house music.

Setting an early precedent in the international spotlight, their music quickly  garneredsupport from heavy hitters like Hot Since 82, Thyladomid, Andre Crom, Betoko, Matt Fear, S.K.A.M, and more. Their hit, “Stepping Into My Mind” remained in Beatport’s Indie Dance top 10 for several weeks, followed by the equally impressive “Paradise” for Cream Couture Records. Thinking forward, they started their own label, PopArt, another title that reflects their vision of accessible yet elegant dance music. At first focused on local talent, including Re Dupre and Gabe, Dashdot has since developed the label into a global entity, recruiting artists across continents.

Artists, producers, and label owners, the members of Dashdot have been prime  candidates for bookings around the world. After playing at the best clubs all over Brazil, their passports are quickly filling up with gigs around the Americas and Europe, including London’s top billing Magna Carta party alongside stalwarts Clive Henry, Droog, Inxec, Franck Roger, Alex Arnout, and more. True musicians at heart, the young duo employs a powerful live setup, with Felipe laying down percussion while Andre builds melody. No two sets from these artists are ever the same.

Expanding their reach by the day, the duo’s star is firmly on the rise, with forthcoming music on Chili Mint Music, Off Recordings, and more. As they gain exposure, so too does Brazil. The success of these talented youngsters reflects both on them and their homeland, bringing attention to the country’s burgeoning electronic scene. One can only imagine what the future will hold as Andre and Felipe, known simply as Dashdot, continue to cement their place alongside the most prolific names in the world of dance music.

Fast forward to now and he has fomented his own unique sound in collaboration with the likes of Alex Arnout and Mexican heroes Balcazar & Sordo, Nobody Knows and Miguel Puente, always tying pop inflections to deep and brooding beats and electro tinged vocals for labels like My Favourite Robot, Mexa and Diynamic as well as contributing two tracks to Hot Waves Vol. 4. The likes of Sasha, Solomun, Russ Yallop and many more have all charted or supported such tracks, with many hitting the heights of Beatport’s Deep House charts in that time.

As a DJ he takes his sets to places like Ushuaia in Ibiza, Watergate in Berlin and Macarena Club in Barcelona as well as across South America and Europe. They are learned affairs that take in plenty of moody grooves and hypnotise clubbers at festivals like BPM and Flying Circus without fail.  As a promoter of Difficult People, Bastard Love is also responsible for driving his local scene forward, bringing DJs like Art Department, Soul Clap, Lee Foss and many more to his hometown each month.

So too does Bastard Love perform live with famous Mexican producer Metrika. He provides his sultry and unique vocals as the house beats roll beneath and it makes for some of the most exciting live experiences in the scene.   The future is just as bright for Bastard Love: He is working on solo EPs, collaborative EPs with Climbers, Alex Arnout, Eric Volta, Wildkats and others and is also starting his own label ShipShape with brother Metrika, all of which is sure to have the whole world under his spell in the coming months and years.

In 2007 he finally released his first tracks in collaboration with his good friend Daniel Solar on Sportclub Music. A year later, after a few more releases and remixes along with Daniel, he released his first solo production.

In 2009 Mario released “Talking Drums”, his highest selling single so far which was released on Butch’s label Bouq Records and gained broad support from Mathias Kaden (played several times), Laurent Garnier (played at Timewarp 2009), Karotte (played at Karottes Kitchen), Lauhaus (charted on Resident Advisor) and many more. After this success he did remixes for two german labels, had his next release, “Sliding Years EP” on the Italian Label Phaze Records and contributed towards the song “Hmmahaayeah” along with Marc Poppcke on a sampler released on Berlin-based Vivid Records in the same year.

A year after, he continued his collaboration with Daniel Solar and they released tracks on Einmaleins Musik, Keno Records and Sportclub Music. In addition, Mario also produced a remix for the ambitious label Yippiee from his native Hannover, which was founded by his longstanding friends “Filtertypen”.

In 2011 he had releases on OFF Recordings, Einmaleins Musik and Yippiee… In addition to this he did some remixes for artists like Re.You, Oscar Barila and Ugur Project.

Last Year, he released an EP on the swedish label Colourful Music and another one on Alex Niggemann’s Imprint Soulfooled plus a track on the Yippiee Compilation, called Passion. Beyond that he did a lot of remixes for likes of Rhadow, Marc Miroir, Bara Bröst, Thomas A.S., Mild Bang, Melchior Bachmann and Obie Tryce.

Zombie Disco Squad were raised from the dead in 2006. Starting out as DJs, their Zombie Disco Squad parties across east and west London quickly became the thing of legend. Meanwhile, residencies at the likes of Dalston-den Catch and Central-London playground The Social, a slew of internet based mix tapes and a track ‘Straight Boy’ given away for free clocking over 10,000 downloads meant that Zombie Disco Squad soon found themselves touring the world bringing their own version of haunted house to the masses.

Things have changed since those days with Lucas Hunter recently departing the Zombies and leaving Nat Self as the last Zombie standing. Whilst the line up may have altered the philosophy has not; Nat’s sound is inspired by everything from classic house, ghetto tech, disco and hip hop. It’s this off-kilter approach to dance music that continues to see Nat in demand as a DJ, playing at the seediest rave dens to the biggest brightest clubs, including a residency at Berlin’s Watergate for ‘Made For The Night’, tours of Japan, North America, Australia, all over Europe, as well as back in his homeland of England.

Past releases on labels like Jesse Rose’ Made To Play, Dirty Bird and Sound Pellegrino as well as remixes for big hitters such as Cashmere, Black Box and Groove Armada mean that Nat has proved his versatility and demonstrated his natural skill for reworking tracks. His forthcoming debut album ‘Brains’ on Made To Play (May 2012) is a case in point; an all-out assault on the senses that fully deserves it’s place in the spotlight as Made To Play’s only album release this year.

The saying goes, if you want something done properly you better do it yourself, Zombie Disco Squad with Nat Self at the helm are heading for big things. In fact, you’d have to be six feet under to not hear the racket he will be making.

Hailing originally from Poland, Marcin trained extensively in classical music theory and composition in the city of Poznan, performing in over 300 concerts globally before branding out into the world of DJing and electronic production.
He began releasing his own productions that were equally influenced by his musical past as they were the emergent sounds of Brighton techno and experimental electronica.

As a follow up, Robosonic released “Over the Edge“ EP in fall 2012. Again, the response was overwhelming,
with the record peaking at Number 6 in the Beatport Deep House Chart and staying in the Top 100 for over six
months! Both “Worst Love and “The Edge “ became two of OFF Recordings biggest hits to date, helping
Andre Crom’s imprint to become one of the currently most sought-after labels on the planet. Label nights in
venues as far afield as Colombia and Mexico soon followed – proof if needed that the artists and the label are
here to stay.

Yet make no mistake about it – Robosonic are no spring chickens in this game! Their career is the story of an
uncompromising artistic hussle, a fight for musical independence, a strong belief in making it happen against
all odds. For over seven years now they’ve been busy building their reputation as producers of the finest
beats and DJs of some repute – as they slay dance floors worldwide through their unique, potent and multidimensional style, be it on festivals, illegal raves, penthouse parties, clubs, the TV or radio. Productions and DJ skills aside, it’s the duo’s lovable personalities and their penchant for ’keeping it real’ that’s endeared them to a vast audience.

Going back in time: in 2007, Robosonic released their debut album, Sturm und Drang, on their – now defunct -
Diskomafia label, complete with a series of 12’’ and remixes by luminaries of the underground, not least Play
It Down’s Jesse Rose, Stil vor Talent’s Oliver Koletzki, Trapez’s Florian Meindl and Gigolo’s Christopher Just.
After almost four years of self-imposed abstinence from original productions – in which they relentlessly toured
clubs, hosted their podcast “Berlin Kreuzberg Institut“ and ventured into the rave merchandise business with a
“robosonic yellow“ towelling scarf named “Punchi“ – the boys got back down in 2011: their sublime release on
Jackmode Music entitled “The Sweetness“, with Dirtybird’s J.Phlip own interpretation, was soon charted by
the likes of Claude Vonstroke and licensed to Cassy & Joris Voorn’s “Cocoon Heroes“.

To bring us up-to-date, Nov 2012 saw a Robosonic Remix for Channel X on Oliver Koletzki’s label Stil Vor
Talent. The collaboration with this label so far culminated in the release of the Robosonic record “Feldrecord
Im Zirkus” in Jan 2013. Their artful EP pays tribute to pianist Laura Weider, who played a 40-hour concert in
Berlin’s infamous Bar 25, an official Guiness world record! Robosonic – always striving for unique ways to
produce music – used samples and field recordings from the pianist’s performance and the public’s
atmosphere to create a club track that embraces the weird and wonderful vibe of the moment.

For 2013, expect Robosonic to consolidate their previous success, as they are set out to hit another level! Not
only with a re-work of Johnny Corporate’s “Sunday Shoutin“ on Defected, a remix for David Keno on Noir
Music, and a very special remix of Kerri Chandler‘s classic „Hallelujah“ to be released on the legendary NYC
house label King Street Sounds, but also with the long-awaited collaboration between Robosonic & Adana
Twins. The two duo’s „La Fique EP“ will drop in summer on 2DIY4, a branch of the infamous Diynamic which
can show off hits by Solomun, Stimming and Amine Edge.

So stay alert for more creative chaos, open source inspiration, wild parties, visual workouts with love and
detail, sweat on the walls and plenty of bassy music with a 4/4 heartbeat!

The unexpected success of their ‘Everday EP’ in February 2012 resulted in a huge tour schedule, a bunch of new remixes and masses of press attention for The Adana Twins. Aside from their hectic worldwide touring schedule, the guys were recently being hosted on Pete Tong’s Radio One and have just remixed tracks for Tiger Stripes, Ilves & Migiva, Viadrina and Kasper Bjoerke.

Adana Twins are playing in sold-out venues now and are causing sit downs during their sets when they pull out their anthems ‘Everyday’ and ‘Strange’.

Years spending wandering medieval landscapes have informed Claptone’s view of the world, experiencing both magical mystery and muted melancholy he enchanted onlookers with occult instruments and beguiling sounds. Forever surrounded by a sense of intrigue, the world soon cottoned on to the elusive yet enchanting musical powers of this otherworldly beast. The results are that today his shamanistic sonic powers take him all around the world.

Whilst Claptone has continued to roam in his own circles, 2012AD proved to be a year dominated by his infectious ‘Cream’ track. It became an immediate hit, topping new world charts at Beatport and RA, whilst the sonic conjuring of the ‘Night On Fire’ EP also lured all those who heard it, with the result another Top 20 hit. But that’s not all, for the creativity flows freely in our hero, and his ‘Another Night’ also proved to be just as successful on the dancefloor. Deep and woozy, the Claptone sound pairs theatre with tragedy, feel good vibes with acute melancholia and imbues each groove with a Rhodes laced funk, an organic string hook and myriad earthy elements.

Up to the present day, Claptone releases have been birthed on Germany’s influential Exploited label, picking up props from the likes of Pete Tong, DJ Sneak, Soul Clap, DJ Hell, Jesse Rose, A-Trak along the way. Who or whatever Claptone is, it is alive, with a life of its own, evolving and revolving in equal measure, exploring new sounds naturally and forever taking inspiration from long gone and occult worlds.

So far, esteemed and influential dancefloors at clubs in Berlin, London, Paris, Melbourne, Shanghai, New York and many others around the world have fallen under the sonic spell of this secretive alchemist. The future is unpredictable for Claptone, but a new release ‘Wrong’ including the track ‘No Eyes’ with the inimitable JAW from French funsters dOP is on the horizon. Beyond that, your guess is as good as ours…

Before long, he was dexterously layering hi hats onto groovy house beats, and chopping hip-hop vocals with a soft but menacing touch. His music takes hold of you from collar to knee, with cheeky hooks and infectious rhythms. More than a musician, HNQO is an interpreter of the past, fusing elements of hip hop, jazz, and other genres into his very own style of deep house grooves.

Today HNQO (or Henrique as he is known to friends) is one of the fastest rising young stars in the deep house and indie dance scene. Years of hard work are already behind this young musician, who got his start throwing parties in Curitiba. Young people in search of new musical horizons flocked to these gatherings, and eventually some of dance music’s hottest acts found themselves sharing the decks with this ever present, ever humble artist.
Thanks to these successes, HNQO was discovered by the inimitable Russ Yallop, and his tracks are forthcoming on Hot Creations amongst other labels. Additionally, HNQO’s own imprint, Playperview, is seeing international success. Why?

Hailing from Halle, the two Monkey Safari gents are real Nightlife addicts and indeed lovers of club culture. As owners of the legendary Charles Bronson club and purveyors of labels like What!What! Records (since 2008) & Mambo (since 2011), they truly are ambassadors of house and techno in their hometown.

Happy, silly and fun sounds are the result of their creativity. Their music is tropically flavoured, crossed with an electric spark, ideal for drunken nights out, falling off heels and losing half of your drink to the dance floor. As a DJ team they merrily merge different music genres and styles from all over the globe: sometimes soft and melodic, sometimes deep and conscious, at others down and dirty, but one thing is sure, the mood is always happy. Warning: The wave they’re riding is high grade and infectious, this is some serious monkey business!

With their straight forward, modern approach to house music they caught the attention of some of todays most important underground labels; Lazy Days, Systematic, Mood Music, Rejected, NRK Music, Liebe*Detail, King Street and Kolour Recordings etc who have all invested in K&N with enough remixes and original productions. Over the past few years Kruse & Nuernberg not only produced remixes for artists like Dennis Ferrer and Groove Armada, for their precious original tracks they also received some great remixes from legendary producers such as Tom Middleton, DJ Sneak, Vincenzo, Julien Chaptal and Fred Everything…

Apart from playing numerous gigs on the weekends all over the globe they still manage to spend 5 days a week in the studio to work on their different projects. For instance ‘Wiretappeur’, a highly successful collaboration between Florian, Nils and greek producer Stelios Vassiloudis is just another proof that too many cooks never spoil the broth. With releases and remixes on John Digweed’s imprint Bedrock they have just another high profile label under their belt.

A new studio in Hamburg, the digital label ‘Save Room Recordings’ and a long waiting list for tracks and remixes keep the guys busy – as usual!

Both children of the illustrious nightlife of trend capital Zurich, Adrian Flavor and Samy Jackson have made a name for themselves with their “Rakete” parties, held at their home base, the chic Hive club. Meanwhile, the rest of the world has also been infected with the animal fever: whether it’s Watergate, Kater Holzig or Harry Klein, no European top club can escape the paws of the Swiss boys and they have even been sighted regularly in more exotic locations like Thailand and South Africa. No matter where, whenever people talk about a set of the two turntable wizards, they excitedly speak of the moment ‘it’ happened. ‘Cos ANIMAL TRAINER have a talent to play music that inspires and leads electronic trends, rather than follows them. Added to this, they are famous for their love of the party, frequently being the last to leave the club.

As dedicated music lovers and passionate entertainers, it was a natural progression for the duo to channel their constant appetite for music and endless partying into their own sounds. Thus, their first baby steps were released on Stil vor Talent in the form of ‘Talkshow’ in 2008. Since then, ANIMAL TRAINER have had releases on renowned labels such as Poker Flat, BEEF Records, FLASH, Dantze, as well as their own Hive Audio, on which they always strike a remarkable balance between tight grooves, infectious hooks and a whole lot of L.O.V.E.. Where other producers might rest on a well-tested formula, Adrian and Samy focus on remaining versatile, just like when DJing. Hence, it shouldn’t come as a surprise that lately the atmospheric ‘Sunday’ rubbed shoulders with peak time bomb ‘Krambambuli’ – perhaps even in one of their DJ sets. Wild animals aren’t easy to tame after all, and in ANIMAL TRAINERs case, that’s great news!

From the Bavarian lowlands he found his way to Berlin, where he set up his own imprint Mother Recordings in 2012, providing a haven for like-minded musicians. It´s a healthy bunch of friends, artists and creative heads. Their individual life stories and experiences help to shape a very personal vision of contemporary House music, that received instant positive feedback from the first release on. The list of releasing artists and remixers on the freshly founded label contains well-known names such as Daniel Dexter, The Revenge, Audiojack, El_Txef_A, NTFO, Walker & Royce, Death On The Balcony, Andre Crom, and many more.

Coming from a skateboarding and Hip Hop background he first fell in love with House music in the early 2000s. For Nhan Solo, House is an organic progression of Hip Hop pitched to 100+ BPM with Funk and Soul samples twitched into loops. Being inspired by the music of Africa Bambaataa, George Clinton, Parliament and Funkadelic – his own rump shaking, body popping productions are heavily based on their synths and drumbeat sounds.

Nhan Solo´s personal continuous musical output can or will be found on labels such as OFF Recordings, Stranjjur, 2DIY4, Dikso, Nurvous Records and of course Mother Recordings. His tracks have been remixed by respectable members of the scene like Ian Pooley, Spencer Parker, Oliver $, Martin Dawson, Kiki, Fritz Zander, Adriatique – just to name a few.

So far, 2012 has been the most successful year for Nhan Solo´s still young career as a DJ. With gigs all over Europe (Istanbul, Kiev, Amsterdam, Zurich, Oslo, Copenhagen, Lyon, Berlin etc.) and 2 personal Beatport Top 10 hits (“Easy” & “Friends”) which received massive support by Solomun, Soul Clap, Jozif, Dyed Soundorom, Adana Twins, DJ T….

So how will the quest for the lost arch continue in the future?

For starters, he´s in middle of preparing his first album release for 2013. With line up tours for Australia, North- and South America, he´s about to bring his compelling sound to clubs outside Europe for the first time. “Easy” will be released on a number of well-known compilation series such as Ministry of Sound, Defected In The House and the 1 Year Birthday Compilation of his own label Mother Recordins is in the making as well.

“Hell yes”, he says – “but it´s all good. I believe that everything must be done with passion and a true sense of sincerity. And I´ve got plenty of both to go around! :)”

In 2010 he founded the label JEUDI Records, with like minded friends from Baalsaal, Hamburg and the following year saw him ghostproducing for other DJ´s and debut his own material. “Ooh Gosh!”, his debut EP sat in the Top 5 of the dancecharts for weeks. Doctor Dru was also the producer behind “Juicy Fruit”, the 2011 summer hit and success story of Exploited’s new sub label Blackjuke Box; and of the “Anymore” EP in collaboration with his buddies Adana Twins, which came out on BAALSAAL records. Recently he has teamed up with Adana Twins again for their breakthrough: the “Everyday” EP on Exploited. With his current release “The Voice Of Dru”, a smashing deep disco edit, at Nr 1 on the Beatport, Deep House Charts and with so much behind him already, we’re excited to see what the future holds for Doctor Dru.

An infatuation with house music followed: it was the one genre they felt they could handle their diverse tastes. And so with the help of producer and friend Benfay, they started to release high-caliber 4/4 infused with a huge range of influences. The tracks became essential tunes in the record bags of the globe’s best house DJs (their Coma Cat remix was voted the Essential Tune of 2010 by Pete Tong) and led to years of gigs at the world’s best clubs and festivals: Panorama Bar, Sonar, Igloofest, Creamfields…you know the score.

Original, musical, cheeky jackin’ house music made by producers who know how to DJ properly? All qualities championed by Made To Play Records, a label that subsequently released their debut album ‘Say What?!’ and a series of unmissable EPs.

In 2011, the duo won the Swiss Nightlife Award for the Best Electronica DJs category. A great accolade indeed, but it’s the thousands of worldwide fans getting down to their unique sound that’s proof of how Biru Bee and Marc are the act to book if you want your club night to be in safe hands.

Now as part of one of house music’s most exciting labels and their very own Club Bonsoir and with the total package when it comes to both DJ and production skills, the stage is set for Round Table Knights to take their rightful place at the head of the house scene.

15 years later, Jesse applied his childhood experiences towards the development of a new visionary company known as “Mr. Nice Guy” . Considered as one of Miami’s most promising, and forward thinking porn companies since Bang Bros. Jesse has managed to not only run this company but also star in several successful “Mr. Nice Guy” films including “How To Name A Porno”, “Slangin That D”, “Tales 46rom An 8th Street Motel” and “This Hoe Gonna Get Some Dick”. Always setting the bar higher, and higher. Jesse is the true definition of a Dick Slanger. Homeboy don’t mess around, he means business.

Though he’s currently whipping up a storm on the underground house scene, as a youngster Sishi Rosch seemed destined to make a splash in the world of football. Born to an Italian mother and a German father in Guatemala, he emigrated to the United States where his skills on the soccer field stood him in good stead. However, a knee injury put an end to his dream and set him on a new path – namely music. Having been captivated by the world of house and techno, after being introduced to it by his older brothers, Sishi began collecting music and immersed himself in DJing to numb the pain of his football career coming to such an abrupt and tragic end.

Soon the distant shores of Europe were beckoning him over and he left the States to set up a new life in Barcelona. It was there, in the sunkissed Catalan city, that Sishi found his true calling. Having absorbed the business-savvy psyche of his mother and father, he attended business school – but also became heavily involved in the city’s nightlife, picking up a residency at a tiny bar to begin with, and soon finding himself at the centre of a new underground movement. As the number of followers grew at his weekly residency, so too did the reputation of his legendary after-parties and, as we all know, it’s at after-parties where some of the strongest bonds and most fruitful relationships are spawned. It was there he met both Diego Moreno and Miguel Puente, who he cites as friends and inspirations, and consequently started Digital Delight, the label he co-owns with Moreno. Buoyed by the success of his residency, the close ties with his comrades Diego, Miguel and Damian Uzabiaga and his background in business, he took to marketing the label with ease and began to work on establishing the label as a force to be reckoned with. The label helped propagate a new sound – dark, raw, murky and full of seductive funk.

Sishi’s love of nineties hip-hop combined with his early forays into funky house and the influence of idols such as Steve Lawler spawned his sound, a lethal cocktail of contemporary underground house withwest coast gangster rap flavours. It wasn’t long before some of the scene’s elder statesman started to pay attention to what Sishi and his Digital Delight co-dees were creating, culminating in a collaboration with partner in crime Miguel Puente being signed to No.19′s Social Experiment compilation, mixed by Soul Clap, in the early part of 2011. Serious Compassion marked a milestone in Sishi’s career propeling him into the limelight and, soon after, another link-up with Puente was to become an anthem at the hallowed grounds of DC10 in Ibiza. This Feeling was played on a regular basis by some of the scene’s most respected tastemakers, including Crosstown Rebels owner Damian Lazarus.

These two tracks helped define Sishi’s career and put his name on the map, along with a standout performance at Sonar in 2011. Before he knew it, Digital Delight, and his other outlet Sultry Vibes, had become established labels within the underground house music sphere and he was soon receiving a deluge of new music from artists all over the world inspired by his sound while signing his own tracks to labels such as One Records, Get The Curse, No.19, Lower East, Mr. Nice Guy, Exploited Records and Get Physical.

Ask Sishi who the greatest rapper of all time is and, quick as a flash, he’ll tell you, “Eazy-E” – one of the originators of gangster rap. The gritty sounds that Eazy-E was responsible for back in the nineties permeates through Sishi’s music, from Mr. Nice Guy release Deep In The Hood through to Booty Express on Mussen Project and his menacing Get The Curse EP, No More Hits. Seedy, rugged and hypnotic with plenty of brutish energy, there’s no mistaking a Sishi Rosch production which is why he’s been booked to play all around the world and continues to influence a whole new generation of producers.

There have been a few twists and turns on his journey up to this point but Sishi is finally living out his dreams, travelling the globe and playing his music to thousands of adoring fans. Even his mother has given him her blessing which, above all else, is the ultimate reward for the self-confessed workaholic. Though he didn’t become a professional football player, but thanks to his hard work, honest nature and natural flair Sishi is still hitting the back of the net on a regular basis…

Enter a new dawn. With a kick drum and a tight clap, Fabø set out to both make and remake beautiful music. His ancestral roots lie in the power chords and emotional fragility of Joy Division and New Order. From these origins his own destiny and creativity began to bear fruit. In the center, a powerful bassline, from the left, a haunting synth stab, and from the right, something unknowable, but yet melodic, catchy, appealing. This is Fabø’s ethos. Dance music that is neither too strange nor too familiar. Tight percussion and solid grooves move his listener’s feet, while intriguing vocals find homes in their hearts. Their modest output so far is characterized by a penchant for twisting up classic grooves into floor fillers, and now they are proud to have their debut on Made To Play to do exactly that.

Making music for the Demo Scene using Trackers where his first encounter with nowadays “vintage computers” providing him with all the sounds he needed to form his ideas into music. His passion brought him to Hamburg where he found himself producing/co-producing and mixing for a whole host of artists.

Monte takes you back to the “Beverly Hills Cop” and “Miami Vice” aesthetic, but with a deep and solid funk groove lurking beneath. An absolute synth freak able to make any sound you could possibly think of almost in seconds on an array of devices, Monte also finds time to fill in as a professional drummer.

Since 2008 Monte was drawn to the JEUDI Events at Hamburg’s BAALSAAL club, which eventually led him to become part of their first “JEUDI´s FRIENDS EP”.

With “TRUE” – a tune which triumphantly took the top spot in the Beatport Deep House Charts – under his belt, and worldwide recognition rising fast, Monte is certainly one to keep on your radar.

The unique partnership is the brainchild of Lithuanian dance music aficionado DJ Vidis. He teamed up with Mario Basanov in 2007 to form the most influential local production combo and to deliver what could be the freshest sounding and truly adventurous House music in Lithuania and around. Their first production effort, a remix for Atjazz and Robert Owens’ song Love Someone, caused a stir – it was picked and banged by the likes of Gilles Peterson and Pete Tong. And their first solo track called Test was featured on triple Defected Presents: Gilles Peterson In The House compilation even before being signed and released as a single. It was also faved and played by Jazzanova, Atjazz, Laurent Garnier, Ewan Pearson, Toby Tobias, and the likes. Vidis’ and Mario’s first vocal track and video I’ll Be Gone featuring young Lithuanian singer and songwriter Jazzu quite unexpectedly became national phenomena on it’s own right. Hitting number one in radio charts, not leaving MTV Baltic Top 20 for half a year, and becoming the most blogged and Youtubed Lithuanian music video ever says it all. Second video single, and yet another cooperation with Jazzu, Who’s Shot the Silence?! was an artistic contribution getting through the message for Silence – a record label and a music movement founded and nurtured by Vidis.

GEMA – the organisation who collect royalties from clubs, bars etc, have decided to massively increase their rates from the 1st of January 2013. This will have a huge effect on venues in Berlin and the rest of Germany, making it too expensive for them to run as performance venues. For example, the management team of the Berghain have already stated they may have to close after New Years Eve if these reforms go ahead. You can find much more information about the changes on the petition website.

There will also be protests happening on 25 June 2012 so you can show your support to scrap these reforms in person. More info on this to come…

Jamie Anderson is a world-class producer, having started the highly influential “Artform” label in the early 90’s and being credited as being one of the founding figures of Tech-House. Derrick May said Jamie has “elevated the sound of what Detroit was all about. He’s taken it to another level…” Jamie’s production repertoire spans a remarkable selection of imprints that reads like a who’s who of underground dance labels such as Cocoon, Rekids, Front Room, Dessous, 100% Pure, Harthouse, NRK, International DJ Gigolos and Rotation. Jamie also works under various pseudonyms including Idiotproof and Payme, further showing his range and dexterity. Remixes for Riva Starr, Armand Van Helden, X-Press 2, Dave Angel, The Hacker, Francois Dubois and Audio Bullys have expanded his appeal as an in-demand producer.  So Jamie is the brains of this dynamic duo, now what about the brawn?

Louis Osbourne’s career has spanned almost two decades on the underground music scene. His ability to attract success as a DJ, label owner, producer and broadcaster has well and truly sealed his name an industry stalwart, but don’t let us simply persuade you with clichés – just listen to the facts. He’s held residencies at House of God (Birmingham), Café Mambo (Ibiza), Amnesia (Ibiza), and U60311 (Frankfurt). In 2008 he started his own imprint Mija Recordings, attracting a mixture of well-established artists and fresh new talent, the label has fast become an underground powerhouse. Capping it all off is a monthly radio show on Proton Radio; called ‘Mija presents…’, where Osbourne takes you on a two-hour journey through electronic music. Osbourne isn’t a man who needs to talk up his achievements; he doesn’t need to either… suppose he’s a bit like his infamous Father, Ozzy, in that respect.

Osbourne & Anderson met when Louis signed some of Jamie’s tracks for Mija in 2009. The guys then arranged a studio session and their first releases was quickly crafted and signed up by Jesse Rose for Front Room. Their “Rare Grooves EP” was released in spring 2010 and so ‘O & A’ had set off on their journey. Striking an immediate rapport in the studio remixes quickly followed for Jon Gurd on Mija and Tube & Berger’s “Fog Head” on Neurotraxx Deluxe, with the latter staying in Beatport’s Tech House top 10 for a month at the start of 2011. Their latest track “NoHo” has been quickly snapped up for one of 2011’s biggest break through labels Play It Down, and will drop in the fall of 2011 with remixes from Jesse Rose & Axel Boman. They also have a remix of John Lagora & Ben Anders – Nope on Louis’ Mija Recordings that is doing some damage on the dancefloors at the moment and sailing up the charts. With more original productions and remixes in the can, you’ll be hearing more from Osbourne & Anderson on a system near you.

There are few electronic music lovers that haven’t already heard Jamie Anderson’s work. Something like a “Swiss House Mafia” is forming up under the godfathership of the Round Table Knights. The latest insiders of this upcoming force are Mercury. Their recent «Candlelight EP« was acclaimed by critics and made it into the cases of Tom Trago, Soul Clap, Brodinski, Joyce Muñiz and many other key players of the contemporary dance music circuit.

Our internship will provide the successful candidate with hands on experience in the weird and wonderful world of artist bookings, promotions and the music industry. The position is for 2 days a week, for a minimum of 3 months. The position is unpaid for the first three months, with the possibility of becoming a paid position for the right candidate.

You are based in Berlin, passionate and enthusiastic about the Jackmode and KLS Bookings rosters and the underground dance music in general. You are a native English speaker (other languages an advantage but not essential). You have experience of writing (press releases, blog, promo texts). Your skill set includes basic knowledge of the following HTML, Word Press, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, a variety of social networking sites. You have a sunny disposition and work well in a high pressured environment.

Your Responsibilities
You will report to a small team of agents and work with a wide range of promoters and artists. You will help promote our roster of artists and events through social networking platforms, mailouts and blog posting. You will research new venues, promoters and opportunities as well trends and audiences. Maintenance of the website and database are also key duties.

Huxley had a fantastic 2011, seeing releases on Morris Audio, Tsuba, Leftroom and Rebirth (the list goes on…) and 2012 seems to be looking even brighter for the young UK based producer. starting with a release on Maya Jane Coles Hypercolour label. Huxley wears his influences of UK and US Garage on his sleeve and has refined a unique production style that is both timeless and of the moment, Piano Forte No2 is a great opportunity to see him work his magic behind the decks. Supporting Huxley will be Klasse Recordings boss Luca Lozano, Hamburg based Sidney Charles and Piano Forte resident Marceao. Expect a night of deep, raw and bumpy house and techno.

In 2008 she contributed her vocals to the Cusmos (Herwig Kusatz ad Karl Möestls) track “Garoto,” which is was released on the Kruder & Dorfmeister label G-stone. Joyce Muniz also did some collaboration with Flore, Buscemi and Skero. Her first solo release “Party Over Here” debuted November 2010 on Shir Khan’s well known label Exploited and received massive DJ support throughout Europe. DJ Mag has hailed it “the electro single of the month”.

Joyce Muniz second release “Bedstories” was heavy pumping big-boned party house with some serious momentum reminiscent of Mr.G, Cosmin TRGs rework went somewhere far more abstract and intriguing with an Actress-alike Detroit/South London swingjackers’s mix, while Mr. Ho gave it the filtered disco-house treatment for fans of Toby Tobias or Wbeeza.

Joyce Muniz is featured as a singer on the current Munk Album “The Beat and the Bird” out on Gomma, remixed the classic house anthem “Lovely Daee” by Blaze out on Defected and just scored No.4 in the Deephouse Beatport-Charts with her “Malicia”-Single.

“Pulp Fiction” is her 3rd release on the Berlin label Exploited. With “Pulp Fiction” Joyce shows the variety of her production and music taste. For Example: Louie Austen meets Joyce Muniz: a definite must hear. The perfect mix between Sinatra, Barry White and Leonard Cohen on Joyce’s melodic house steroids. In “New in Town” Joyce teams up with Sketch who was already featured on her Top4 Deephouse-Beatport-single “Malicia”. “Pray for Peace” is pure tropical future afro house while “Back Down” is jacking house in the sense of Sneak but with those melancholic Julio Bashmore moments.

“Messing With My Mind“ Ep (part 1 and part 2) were released to the top of the Beatport charts in March and June 2012. It features a Joyce Muniz exclusive remix of the MFiddler track “When the Morning Comes“.

In addition to her DJing and production work, Joyce earned an Amadeus (Austrian equivalent to a Grammy) for her vocal work with Austrian rapper Skero on the hit single “Kabininparty”, which won the “Best Song of the Year” award, as well as 2 other nominations.

Current projects and upcoming releases are the Ep“Droppin’ Pressure“ (20/20 Vision),the new Louie Austen album produced by Joyce Muniz and Marcus Dohelsky out soon on (Monkey Records),

James Creed‘s ‘Soft Parade’ (Klasse Recordings) has been picked for the batport staff selection and found its way into the beatport Deep House Top 100 Releases, beeing #9 today.

First track, Snarf is a work of melodic house with ‘tech’ influences, intricate beats and percussion evolve and interact with stuttered vocal tap providing energy and anticipation, whilst a live organ freestyles playfully, adding an organic feel to this detailed track.

The title track of the EP – The Soft Parade, slows the pace down a little but still manages to retain the energy and impact of the A-side. James works his hyper-edited grooves over reverse strings and soft stabs and slowly adds elements until the track blossoms into a breakdown. The following drop is pure sunshine, perfect for those summer dreams during these winter months.

Take one dance music taste maker; Jesse Rose, add one of house music’s biggest rising stars; Oliver $, give them an acapella album from the 80′s, let them remix, edit and come up with some brand spanking new club jackers for the dancefloor, the result; the ‘Sample Pleasures’ mixtape! Being released for free download on the internet on march 1st.

The two will start touring the world in mid March, taking in the States, Canada, Europe and Asia, playing back to back, sometimes all-night long. Oliver $ has come up through the ranks after his first meeting with Jesse 7 years ago. The day they met Jesse declared that Ollie should be a resident on his brand new label at the time ‘made to play’.

The guys have collaborated many times together but this will be the first time the two have embarked on such a massive project that takes in over 8 tracks across 40 mins of mix. After the release of the mixtape, Play it Down will go on to release a number of tracks free on various online sites, whilst keeping the massive highlights for a double vinyl release at the end of march. Why? because as Olli puts it ‘we love making tracks & we love people to hear them’. Jesse say’s ‘I’ve been really into all the Hip-Hop Mixtapes coming out in America and felt it was time to give house fans the same love back’.

The duo’s versatile production skills and frank approach to House music were first discovered by the world-acclaimed Dutch illustrator and Le Le member Parra, who invited the producing duo to create a remix of his band’s second single »Breakfast«. Frenetically supported by Ed Banger-CEO Pedro “Busy P” Winter, the remix ultimately became a true dance floor hit during 2009.

Since then, Mercury have released several EPs on labels such as Gomma and Nurvous, remixed works of Tom Trago, Munk, The Shapeshifters, Round Table Knights, Moullinex, Zombie Disco Squad, Jonas Rathsman and Two Door Cinema Club and collaborated with legendary House vocalists Robert Owens and Byron Stingily.

I expect this to be nothing less then a manual for “how to built an empire”. Check out this little teaser for the upcoming ‘Made For The Night’ documentary.

The brainchild of Jesse Rose, ‘Made For The Night’ started life as compilation series that would provide a way for the listener to fully understand an artist. Not another remix compilation, ‘Best Of’ or overpriced single CD DJ mix, but an insight for the listener to understand both sides of an artist, both what they play in the club and what they produce outside of the club. The series will not just look at legends or headliners but also the up and coming. Along with the compilation, comes a short documentary following the artist, the first in the series directed by Jules Audry.

Made For The Night is Jesse’s first compilation since the highly acclaimed Body Language mix on Get Physical in 2007.

Berlin residents AKA AKA step up to the plate and turn in a much darker version, mutating the vocals and twisting Spoek’s original rhythms. Hard hitting drums pound away alongside the synth melody, rising to a huge finish that slips back into the original groove…riding the beat to the outro. With “Son” we receive a beautiful epic; a goose-bump inducing vocal with a groove to match. “Balkonia” is a gypsy band’s orchestral warm-up teamed with a body-jacking bassline. Finally “Mehndi” brings together traditional vocals with torrents of percussion and a big pounding pay off on the drop. The digital release also includes a club-centric remix of “Son” from Remerc.

Homework have spent years hunting for only the freshest and most innovative sounds. Much of their evolution as artists can be seen in their ever-changing production work. After long and hard work on a varied oeuvre of different material, the boys got catapulted into the International house scene through the release of their widely supported ‘Fissa Tune EP’ on Shir Khan’s label Exploited, and the accompanying hype surrounding the title track ‘Fissa Tune’, which, through consistent appraisal from the likes of Brodinski and Jesse Rose, found its way to many a chart and DJ set.

Homework pricked up the ears of ‘Made To Play’ boss Jesse Rose with their Trumpet Express demo whilst he was visiting Amsterdam earlier in the year; a hypnotic trumpet line combined with the duoʼs sampling style and underpinned by beautifully simple, yet pounding house beats.

Now with an ever-expanding catalogue of productions (the critically acclaimed ‘Hudson Square EP’ came out in 2011 on Exploited), touching on different sentiments and styles, and a snowballing effect on their side, the two are reaching for ever greater highs and traveling from Berlin’s Panoramabar to Paris’ Social Club and everything in between. Things are looking bright as a summer morning for the two youngsters and it seems their star can only rise to even greater heights. One thing is certain: wherever dance music goes, Homework will have found their way there, one step ahead of the hype.

A prestigious residency at Café Mambo in Ibiza from 98-99 added his name to the illustrious yet small list of jocks to hold down the fort at the legendary San Antonio sunset bar – including the likes of Lawler and Gooding. Add into the mix residencies at Ibiza super-club Amnesia, Birmingham techno mecca House of God and U60311 in Frankfurt, you begin to get an idea of the appeal many hold for Osbourne. As a DJ, his appearances alone read like a ‘who’s who’ of the best venues around the world – Club der Visionaere (GER), D-Edge (BR), Pacha (IBZ), Creamfields (UK), Global Gathering (UK) Love Parade (GER) and throw in a Radio 1 Essential Mix Tour (UK), the list goes on and on.

It’s pretty hard not to indulge in lists when it comes to Louis Osbourne, there simply isn’t enough space to write up each achievement. Take the list of familiar and legendary names he’s lined up alongside; Loco Dice, Josh Wink, DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter, Dave Clarke, Damian Lazarus, Erick Morilo and the Basement Jaxx. That’s without mentioning the likes of Tiga, Erol Alkan, 2ManyDJs, Mylo, Simian Mobile Disco, Ivan Smagghe and Derrick May. Believe or not, that isn’t the full list, which is testament to Osbourne’s ability behind the turntables and the demand he continues to find himself in, even after eighteen years hard graft.

As if that wasn’t enough to fill his ever-expanding diary, in 2008 Osbourne started his own imprint called Mija Recordings. Attracting a mixture of well-established artists and fresh new talent, the label has fast become an underground powerhouse. Stacey Pullen, Jamie Anderson, Alan Fitzpatrick and Fish Go Deep have all put out records on Mija with many more also opting to work with Osbourne at Mija.

Production-wise, he’s no slouch either. Working closely with co-hort Jamie Anderson, as “Osbourne & Anderson”, Louis has released on the highly respected Front Room. Their remix of Jon Gurd’s ‘Stamp’, out on Mija Recordings, made big waves in the electronic music world in 2010, and in early 2011 the Osbourne & Anderson remix of Tube & Berger ‘Fog Head’ held fort in the Beatport charts for what seemed like forever, making it the biggest selling record on Neurotraxx Deluxe this year. The fall of 2011 is set to be equally memorable, if not more so, as more collaborations with Anderson see the light of day and further releases  signed to Made To Play, run by Tech-House don Jesse Rose, and Osbourne’s own Mija.

Capping it all off is a monthly radio show on Proton Radio; called ‘Mija presents…’, where Osbourne takes you on a two-hour journey through electronic music. Hour one allows Louis to exhibit his renowned mixing ability whilst the second sixty minutes is an opportunity for the cultured label boss to showcase artists on the Mija imprint, as well as familiar faces supporting his finely tuned brand of House and Techno.

What is certain about Louis Osbourne is that the Law Graduate has not only carved out a wealth of global experience behind the decks as well as in front of the mixing desk, but his biography well and truly speaks for itself. Osbourne isn’t a man who needs to talk up his achievements; he doesn’t need too, there’s a list of facts to prove it… suppose he’s a bit like his infamous Father, Ozzy, in that respect.

In the Summer of 2012, Cocolores released their 3rd EP, which was a remix EP of their Debut. In addition to Berlin’s finest duo “Trickski” signed on Suol, they convinced Techno and Deep House Mastermind Deetron to remix ”Heart Quest”, which was played on BBC Radio 1 by Duke Dumont, Deetron’s Remix for Heart Quest is still the 8th best selling track of Deetron on Beatport.

After touring all over Europe, playing in spots like Watergate in Berlin, Social Club in Paris, or the beloved Bob Beaman Club in Munich as well as at festivals like Sonar in Barcelona or Springfestival in Graz, the duo keep fascinating crowds all over the world with their unique and outstanding taste in music.

Having planned a second Video, Cocolores are definitely the ones to watch with their upcoming release on Compost Black Label.

Oh yeah, here we go. Could it be another one of those „these guys started DJing here, listened to that music then and preferred to work with analog gear in the studio ‚cause that produces a warmer sound anyway…“ stories? Boring! So instead we‘ll tell you something more about Nils Penner and John Muder. They say opposites attract, and this story is a testament to that.

As you can see in the press pics, what we have here is one skinny guy with a full head of hair who constantly has problems keeping his 28“ denim on his hips, while the other needs a 36“ pair of jeans and is totally fine with his steadily increasing baldness. But that‘s just from the outside. They come from Bremen and Hamburg, German cities that have been rivals since the beginning of time. Now they live in Berlin and Munich, also not the easiest combination. One of them sees his roots in West Coast R‘n‘B the other is a true school East Coaster. Of course when it comes to football they cheer for SV Werder Bremen and the Hamburger SV which relate like FC Barcelona and Real Madrid, if you don‘t know them. We could go on and on…

So it looks like all of these differences music-wise seem to produce exactly the right amount of tension and harmony to create their unique sound which could be described as something off the beaten path of deep house, laced with heavy grooves and basslines, and even the occasional trance pad or two.

Whether you believe it‘s fate or coincidence, something brought these guys together for one week inside a studio in East Berlin during the Summer of 2007. Living there 24/7 (don‘t worry, the studio had a shower) they came out exhausted but happy holding their first 4-track demo CD in their hands. Although they were honestly not sure what they had come up with, they sent the result out and Moodmusic head honcho Klas „Sasse“ Lindblad was the first to pick it up.

Moodmusic released the first single, „Are You Lost,“ in October of 2008, but one month before the release Penner+Muder played their first ever public live set at the legendary Panorama Bar in Berlin. What a kickoff!

Always focusing more on quality than quantity, while living in separate cities with only a few hours of shared studio time each month, the guys are building slowly. They only released one more single before dropping their first album, „Same Monkeys Different Zoo,“ on Moodmusic in June of 2010. Enough of that for now. Check their discography for all that followed.

At this point (June 2011), Nils and John are really looking forward to enter their new studio in Berlin and prepare their „back with a bang“ situation for 2012
while touring throughout Europe with their live set.
